Product selection

Start with the working conditions and interface before confirming a model.

What information should I send for product selection?

Share the equipment or application, connector type if known, number of contacts, voltage and current requirements, cable diameter, cable length, environment, mounting method, mating direction, quantity and required delivery date.

Photos, drawings and an existing part number are helpful. Final suitability must be confirmed against the selected model and project conditions.

How do I choose between M8, M12, 7/8, RJ45 and heavy-duty connectors?

The connector family depends on the signal or power task, number of contacts, available space, current and voltage, shielding, sealing, mating frequency and mechanical environment.

M8 and M12 are often considered for compact sensor and automation connections. 7/8 and heavy-duty connector families may suit larger power or multi-contact requirements. RJ45 options should be reviewed with the network environment and protection requirement.

Which cable details should be confirmed?

Confirm conductor count and size, cable material, flexibility, shielding, outer diameter, length, movement cycle and temperature range. Available source product configurations include PVC, PUR flexible and drag-chain cable options, but availability must be checked for the selected assembly.

Customization

Custom work begins with a controlled requirement, drawing and approval route.

Which product features can be customized?

Depending on the product family and project volume, customization may include cable length and material, shielding, labels, printing, packaging, plating, connector configuration and selected mechanical details.

Every request is reviewed for technical feasibility, tooling, test requirements, approval samples, quantity and lead time before confirmation.

Can junction boxes and enclosures be customized?

Material, colour, printing, openings, internal configuration and packaging may be reviewed for selected ABS or PC box and enclosure projects. Send the enclosure dimensions, ingress-protection target, cable entries, mounting details, internal components and drawing format.

Can Wismaco support robot tubing kits and related cables?

Wismaco can review robot tubing, peripheral cable and interface requirements from design through production and installation support. Provide the robot platform, movement range, cable list, end connections, routing, protection requirements and available drawings.

Documents and certification

Documentation is confirmed against the model, manufacturer and intended project scope.

Which certification documents can Wismaco provide?

Wismaco currently presents CE, RoHS, TUV, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 information across its company materials.

Certificate availability and applicability are not identical for every product. Always send the selected model and required standard so the relevant document can be checked before order confirmation.

Can I request datasheets, drawings or 3D models?

Yes, where the manufacturer has approved the file for distribution. Send the product family and exact model, plus the required format such as PDF dimension drawing, DWG, DXF, STEP or STP. Some files may be supplied only after model confirmation.

Does one certificate cover every connector or enclosure?

No. A company management-system certificate, a product declaration and a model-specific test document serve different purposes. Wismaco will help identify which evidence is relevant, but the project team should confirm the required standard and acceptance criteria.

Ordering and delivery

Commercial timing is confirmed only after the exact configuration and quantity are known.

What is the minimum order quantity?

The minimum quantity depends on whether the item is standard, cable-assembled, branded, moulded or otherwise customized. Send the model or requirement and estimated quantity for a project-specific reply.

How is lead time calculated?

Lead time depends on stock, cable and connector configuration, quantity, customization, tooling, sample approval, testing and required documents. The confirmed quotation or order acknowledgement should be treated as the delivery reference.

Can I request samples before a production order?

Sample requests can be reviewed for standard and custom projects. Provide the intended application, required model or drawing, sample quantity, destination and the test or approval plan. Cost and timing are confirmed case by case.

Installation and after-sales support

Fast technical support depends on clear evidence from the installed condition.

Which quality checks may be used before delivery?

Depending on the product and project, the inspection plan may include visual and dimensional checks, continuity testing, insertion or withdrawal-force checks, plating-thickness measurement, and environmental tests such as temperature, humidity or salt spray.

The applicable inspection scope should be confirmed for the selected item rather than assumed for every product.

How can installation problems be reduced?

Before installation, confirm cable diameter, sealing range, thread or mounting size, connector keying, contact arrangement, tightening method, bend radius and available access. Isolate power and follow the relevant manufacturer instruction and project safety procedure.

What should I provide for an after-sales review?

Send the order number, product model, batch or label information, quantity affected, installation date, equipment and environment, clear photos, video where useful, and any measured electrical or mechanical result. Do not disassemble failed parts further unless instructed, because the returned condition may be needed for analysis.
